Q&A and Photo Session
You have a chance to ask the rikishi anything—from their training to personal stories.
 During the photo session, each group can take a commemorative photo with the wrestlers.
 You’ll also have a chance to express your thanks for their training and cheer them on for upcoming matches.

This tour is very popular. Group size may be 15–30 people, and the stable may be shared with other tour groups.
You’ll get to see top-ranked wrestlers—an experience even locals rarely have.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
※Please note that the brunch is optional and costs around 1,000 yen per person, paid separately on-site.

Q1 .

How can I book or cancel the tour?

You can book through various tour platforms or directly from our website. Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours in advance.

Q2 .

Where is the meeting point?

Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you an email with the exact meeting point and time. It will be a park somewhere in Sumida City, close to the sumo stable we partner with.

Q3 .

How long does the experience last?

The visit inside the sumo stable lasts about 2 hours. If you join the optional brunch afterward, please allow for an additional hour.

Q4 .

Is brunch included in the tour price?

No, brunch is not included in the tour fee. Since some guests may have dietary restrictions or separate lunch plans, we keep it optional. You only pay for what you eat at the restaurant (around 1000 yen or $7).

Do the guides speak English?

Yes. All our guides (called Okami) speak English at a business level or above.

Q6 .

Is the tour held in case of bad weather?

Yes. Since the stable is indoors, the tour runs rain or shine. However, we may move the introductory talk from the park to indoors if the weather is bad.

How many guests are in the tour?

The number of guests varies depending on the season, ranging from 1 to about 50 participants.

Is the tour accessible for seniors or people with mobility issues?

Chairs are available for those who need them. However, the sumo stable has steps at the entrance, making it difficult to enter with a wheelchair.

Is there Wi-Fi at the stable?

No, unfortunately, Wi-Fi is not available.

Are there restrooms available

Yes. There is one restroom for men and one for women inside the sumo stable. There are also public restrooms at the meeting park.

Can I take photos or videos?

Photography is allowed throughout the experience. However, video recording is strictly prohibited by the Japan Sumo Association.

Can I talk to the sumo wrestlers?

Yes! During the Q&A and photo time, you can ask them anything—from their daily routines to personal interests. Our guide can help with translation if needed.

Q13.

Can I bring drinks or food?

Only water and tea are allowed inside the stable. Alcohol and food are not permitted.

Q14.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

We recommend the experience for children aged 6 and up, but younger children may also join. However, because the stable is a quiet, respectful environment, we kindly ask parents to attend to children immediately if they cry or make noise. Each child will require their own seat and ticket. Chairs are also available for seniors.

How far is the stable from the meeting point?

Just a 3-minute walk.

Q16.

Are there any rules I should know about?

Yes. No shoes indoors, no talking during the practice, no video recording, and no eating inside the stable.
